Destiny 2 PC – Come for the Campaign, stay for the PVP

A console port done right.

I know what your thinking, console ports to pc never work correctly and are rarely updated. While that may typically be true, the team at bungie were determined to put this stereo type to bed.  Bungie has assigned an entire team of creative and talented people to update and support the PC community.

Campaign and Multiplayer Synergy

Enter earth in the far future, the last fragments of humanity huddle around a powerful protective sphere. You are a “Guardian”, a mortal being who has been granted incredible abilities after receiving the Traveler’s Light. Choosing from three distinct class types, your task is to restore and protect Earth’s last safe city from hordes of alien races. To do this you must travel to distant planets and moons within the shared multiplayer world.

The Crucible

PvP in Destiny 2 comes in three main forms: Quickplay, Competitive, and Trials of the Nine. If you're a complete beginner, Quickplay is where you want to start. And don't worry--level advantages are disabled in the Crucible, so your Power level doesn't matter. There are three modes in Quickplay: Clash, Supremacy, and Control. Clash is a team deathmatch mode, Supremacy tasks you with picking up and "claiming" kills in the form of gems that drop from defeated opponents, and Control involves capturing and holding three zones. Competitive includes a survival mode where your team has a limited stock of lives and a plant-the-bomb mode.

The PC Version is graphically superior

Destiny 2’s textures and effects translate well into 4k, with some set-pieces like the intricate architecture of the Pyramidion left my jaw agape. Bungie is even supporting frequently neglected configurations like Nvidia SLI or AMD Crossfire. You can find the official minimum recommended system requirements here.
